Communication Officer

An international non-governmental organization (INGO) operating in Laos is looking for a dedicated Communications Officer to shape how their impactful programs are understood and supported. You will serve as the storyteller for initiatives that improve lives, translating complex development work into clear, compelling narratives for donors, partners, and the communities they serve. This role is central to building public awareness and ensuring the organization's mission reaches the right audiences.

In this position, you will manage the organization’s external and internal communications, including drafting press releases, newsletters, and social media content. You will coordinate with program teams to document project outcomes and produce reports that highlight achievements and challenges. A key part of the work involves maintaining relationships with local media outlets and supporting advocacy efforts aligned with the INGO’s strategic goals.

We are looking for someone with experience in communications, ideally within a non-profit or INGO setting. You should be skilled at writing for different platforms, managing digital channels, and organizing public events or campaigns. Strong proficiency in both English and Lao is essential, as is a genuine interest in development work and the ability to handle sensitive topics with discretion.
