Public Bank Lao Limited (PBLL) is a foreign-owned local bank incorporated in January 2024, upgraded from the overseas branch operations of Malaysia's Public Bank Berhad, which first began operating in Laos on 18 December 1995. With 30 years of banking history in the country, PBLL operates 4 branches across Laos — two in Vientiane Capital, one in Savannakhet, and one in Pakse — with its head office in Vientiane. PBLL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Public Bank Berhad, the largest non-government-linked banking group in Malaysia.
