Phu Bia Mining owns and operates two award winning operations – Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver, both located in Xaisomboun Province, 120km north of Vientiane.     This is a unique time to join the Phu Bia Mining team. Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off; 9 days on, 5 days off; or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off. The key objective of Cost Controller is to ensure the implementation of OPEX and CAPEX cost controlling procedures in the P&E team and overall processes are controlled and adhere to strict safety, quality, program and financial guidelines.   Your responsibilities will include: Checking the budget allocation accurately  Ensure the actual cost posted to the corrected cost code Produce the cost report and the dashboard to track the spending and resources. Produce the transaction journal to reclass and accrue the posted costs. Assist the Project Control Engineer in facilitating the cost control system to ensure that expenditure costs are matched with actuals and continuously monitored against the agreed and approved budget; Liaising with document controller, planner, warehouse team and discipline engineers on a regular basis on any requisition; Time sheeting, trending, estimating. To be successful in this role, you will require:   Degree qualification in Management, Engineering or Relevant. 2 years’ work experience in finance, accounting, project cost management, construction management. Good project management, problem solving, time-management, communication, and presentation skills and able to work under pressure. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel) & Outlook, with exposure to a reporting management preferable.   Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Willing to learn, energetic and proactive. Possess critical thinking skills. Familiar with SAP & Trello system.
