Easy Gold is a growing financial services company in Laos, and we are looking for a Credit Risk Specialist to help safeguard our lending operations. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers, analyzing financial data, and recommending appropriate credit limits. Your work will directly support our ability to make sound lending decisions while managing exposure to defaults. You will review financial statements, tax records, and audit reports to evaluate risks associated with individual and business loan applications. This role requires a strong grasp of general accounting and tax principles, as you will often need to verify the accuracy of documents submitted by clients. Your assessments will be crucial in setting terms and conditions that balance growth with financial stability. Your day-to-day tasks will include monitoring existing credit accounts, identifying early warning signs of potential defaults, and working closely with the collections team to mitigate losses. You will also contribute to developing credit policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices. This is a hands-on position where your analytical skills will have a direct impact on the company’s performance. We are looking for someone with experience in accounting, taxation, or audit who wants to apply their skills in a credit control setting. You should be comfortable working with numbers, have an eye for detail, and be able to make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
