Deputy Head of Compliance

Banque Franco-Lao Ltd is one of Laos' established international commercial banks, providing a broad range of financial services to individuals, businesses, and institutions. The Deputy Head of Compliance plays a central role in protecting the bank's integrity by ensuring that all operations, products, and processes align with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.

In this position, you will support the Head of Compliance in developing and maintaining the bank's compliance framework, monitoring regulatory changes issued by the Bank of the Lao PDR and other relevant authorities, and translating those requirements into practical policies and procedures. You will conduct regular compliance reviews across business units, assess risk exposure, and provide clear guidance to senior management and front-line staff on regulatory obligations.

A strong background in banking or financial services is essential, along with solid experience in financial analysis, risk management, and investment products. You should be comfortable reviewing complex financial instruments and transactions, identifying potential compliance gaps, and working closely with internal audit, legal, and operations teams to address them before they become material issues.

The ideal candidate brings a rigorous, detail-oriented mindset, sound judgment, and the confidence to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Experience working within a regulated financial institution and familiarity with AML, KYC, and international banking standards will be a significant advantage.
