Interpreter-ລ່າມແປພາສາ (ລາວ/ອັງກິດ)

The HALO Trust is the world’s largest humanitarian mine clearance organisation, and this role is central to ensuring clear, accurate communication between our international and local teams in Laos. As an Interpreter, you will bridge language gaps across English and Lao in field operations, training sessions, and office settings, supporting safety, efficiency, and mutual understanding. Your work directly enables our mission to save lives and protect livelihoods in post-conflict communities.

You will interpret during meetings, briefings, and operational activities, translating both spoken and written materials with precision and cultural sensitivity. This includes assisting in the translation of technical reports, safety procedures, and training documents. Your ability to convey nuanced information clearly will help maintain high standards of safety and collaboration in challenging environments.

We value professionalism, discretion, and a calm presence under pressure. You should be fluent in both English and Lao, with strong listening and note-taking skills. Prior experience in interpretation or a related professional services field is beneficial, as is familiarity with humanitarian or technical terminology.
