Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off. Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, the Plant Metallurgist is primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of process plant operations while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role ensures adherence to weekly and monthly production forecasts by executing daily operational strategies that drive key performance indicators (KPIs). The Plant Metallurgist is also accountable for managing short to medium term metallurgical challenges within the plant. This includes identifying optimization opportunities, diagnosing and resolving process bottlenecks, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall plant performance and metal recovery.   Your responsibilities will include:   Monitor and improve performance by ensuring safe, stable, and efficient plant operation to maximize throughput and recovery. Conduct routine inspections of process flows and automatic sampler systems to ensure representative composite samples are collected each shift.  Provide operational support by assisting with troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues.  Maintain accuracy and reliability of online analysers by routinely updating and validating models using calibration sample results.  Analyses daily plant performance data in relation to ore characteristics variability and recommend appropriate process adjustments to improve and optimize plant efficiency. Monitor and maintain key metallurgical operating parameters to ensure they are aligned to standard operating strategies. Maintain accuracy and integrity of production and metallurgical accounting data.  Prepare daily metallurgical production reports and lead weekly reconciliation reporting and reviews.  Support laboratory test work, sampling activities, plant trials, and ongoing continuous improvement programs.  Collaborate with Mining and Geology teams on short-term planning and ore management in alignment with the Production Management System (PMS) cycle.  Monitor reagent consumption, deliveries, and inventory to ensure usage remains within or below budgeted levels.  Support timely delivery of A3 projects aligned with the Game of Quarters continuous improvement framework.  Contribute to team capability development by coaching and supporting metallurgical technicians.  Maintain focus on achieving budgeted physicals and cost targets.     To be successful in this role, you will require:   Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Metallurgist in a processing plant Solid understanding of crushing, grinding, flotation, dewatering, and other mineral processing techniques. Strong communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
