If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you've come to the right place.  The Women’s Economic Empowerment (EMPOWER) Project, a part of the Lao-German Cooperation and commissioned by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, is currently seeking one (1) qualified Lao national for the position of Junior Communication Specialist , based in Vientiane Capital starting from 03.08.2026 until 31.10.2028. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies and action plans for the projects “Women’s Economic Empowerment in Lao PDR (EMPOWER)”, “Vocational Education in Lao PDR (VELA)” and ASEAN Regional Economic Integration projects implemented in Laos. Create content for various communication channels, including social media, press releases in line with GIZ cooperate design and orientations. Ensure the quality of all communication materials including released articles, maintaining high standards and consistency across all platforms. Enhance visual communication efforts by creating visually appealing materials that effectively convey project messages. Provide support in organizing and managing communication-related events and workshops. Assist in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication action plans and activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   A bachelor's degree in journalism, media and communication studies, business studies, economics, international relations or a comparable field. Up to 1 year experience in a comparable position and relevant internship(s). Experience maintaining social media, including Facebook, TikTok, and knowledge of digitalization and trends. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and digital designing software/packages. Experience in development cooperation projects and a general understanding of sustainable economic development would be an asset. Fluent in Lao and English (reading and writing). Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed. EMPLOYEE BENEFIT Attractive and competitive salary with long-term employment and career development.
