Senior Nutrition Officer

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a Senior Nutrition Officer for the Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) Project in Lao PDR. As a senior member of the project team, you will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition-specific interventions, directly improving the health and well-being of vulnerable women and children across target communities. Your expertise will drive evidence-based programming, strengthen local capacity, and ensure that resources are used effectively to achieve measurable impact.

In this national consultant role, you will oversee the full project cycle, from work planning and budgeting to reporting and evaluation. You will coordinate closely with government counterparts at national and sub-national levels, facilitating technical support, training, and quality assurance for nutrition activities. Your leadership will help integrate nutrition into broader health systems, fostering sustainability and local ownership of program outcomes.

You will manage a team of field-based staff and partners, providing mentorship and ensuring alignment with CRS’s program management standards. This includes guiding data collection and analysis to inform adaptive management, as well as contributing to donor reports and communications that highlight the project’s successes and lessons learned.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with strong project management skills and a deep understanding of nutrition programming in an INGO setting. Experience in coordinating multi-sectoral stakeholders, facilitating training, and using data to drive decisions is essential. You are comfortable with both strategic oversight and hands-on field support, and you share CRS’s commitment to serving the most vulnerable.
